Friends of Lower Heath
A very important part of our school community is the 'Friends of Lower Heath'. This is a group of parents/carers who organise various events for the school throughout the year. In recent years 'Friends' have organised events such as a very successful band night, Christmas fair, bingo evening, children's discos and Easter colouring competitions. All of these events provide a social aspect to the school, giving parents, children, staff and the local community chance to come together in different ways. However, these events also raise funds for the school, for projects which directly benefit the children. Recent purchases of non-fiction books for our younger readers, fiction books for our older readers, laptops and kindles have all been very much appreciated by everyone in school. The Friends have also recently paid for all children in the school to take part in circus workshops! In the last week of the summer term, the children all went on a full day trip to Cadbury World, again paid for in full by the Friends of Lower Heath. The Friends' meetings are open to all parents, and upcoming events are listed on the calendar on this website.
If you would like to support the school by attending Friends' meetings, helping at Friends' events, running stalls at events, baking cakes or in any other way, please get in touch - we are always very grateful for any offers of help and support!
